About Me

Heather Valentine is a queer speculative fiction writer working in Scotland. She graduated from the University of Glasgow’s MLitt Creative Writing programme in 2014.

Her short fiction has been published in anthologies and magazines including We Were Always Here, Unspeakable: A Queer Gothic Anthology and LampLight Magazine. She is currently working on a novel.

In her day jobs she has been a proofreader, a tour guide, a receptionist and a call-centre worker.

Outside of her professional writing, she is one of the organisers at Glasgow Fanfiction Open Mic Night. She also enjoys knitting, role-playing games, true crime and coffee.
